Polyend Drums (black) is an analog and digital drum machine built without compromise. Every part of it is designed to feel immediate, sound exceptional, and give you more ways to create, with less to think about.

Radical by design
Polyend Drums (black) is built around a single-piece aluminum body, with custom metal knobs and high-end components throughout. Every material choice, component, and surface is chosen for precision, consistency, and the kind of feel you notice the moment you touch it.

Depth on demand.
Complete analog voices sit alongside high-quality digital instruments and samples. Add complex sequencing, studio-grade effects, and mastering tools. All there when you want to go further.

From sound to performance.
Watch how sound, sequencing, and performance control come together in one take.

Beyond the box.
Polyend Drums (black) is designed to connect with the devices around it. Individual audio outputs allow further processing, MIDI keeps everything in time, and the audio input lets you shape external sounds with its effects processor.

Analog voices
Four analog voices built on modern SSI chips create a dense, classic tone with modern flexibility. Each stacks dual analog VCOs, a dedicated noise source, and additional digital oscillator for hybrid layering or precise FM modulation. Each shaped through a multimode analog filter and VCA, giving you everything from tight percussion to evolving synth textures. The SSI2130 is often described as a superior, modern alternative to the classic CEM3340 or SSM2030. The SSI2140 filter is a modern version of the classic SSM2040.

Each voice features:
– 2x SSI2130 oscillators
– SSI2140 filter: LP / HP / BP mode
– SSI2164 VCA
– Analog noise generator
– SSI2140 filters: LP / HP / BP mode
– SSI2164 VCA
– Additional digital oscillators
– SSI2140 filter: LP / HP / BP mode
– SSI2164 VCA

Sequencer
Years of experience led us to our most advanced and intuitive sequencing system yet. 8 tracks with up to 64 steps, deep per-track control, probability, micro-timing, pattern chaining and generative tools move you beyond simple stepped playback into expressive composition.
– 8 tracks with up to 64 steps per track
– 48 songs with song arrangement mode
– All-parameter locks
– Real-time step and parameters recording
– Independent track length and speed
– Independent track play mode
– Step repeats with various velocity curves
– Step conditions and chance
– Micro timing
– Track random, euclidean and beat generators

Instruments
Multiple analog and digital synthesis methods, sample-based instruments, and eight independent LFOs give you the core tools for creating and modulating drum sounds. With 50 instruments, each containing its own mutations, you get hundreds of options to choose from.
– 50 instruments (each can assigned in any of 8 tracks)
– 500+ instrument mutations
– Analog: classic and FM
– Digital: VA, WT, FM, physical modeling, samples
– 8 independent LFOs with 29 waveforms

Live performance
Polyend Drums (black) is designed for real-time control. Use the X0Y fader to morph kits, trigger fills instantly, and switch between patterns or sound kits without stopping playback. Key parameters stay close, so changes can be made while the pattern is running.
– X0Y morphing
– Instant fill trigger
– Track volume metering
– Track mutes
– Quick kit access
– Quick pattern change

Effects
Polyend Drums (black) includes three dedicated effects groups. Send effects for shared processing. Insert effects for individual tracks. A master chain for the final mix. Inserts can be sequenced per track, so effects become part of the rhythm rather than something added at the end.
– 10 sequencable insert FX
– 2 send buses
– 52 send FX
– Master 8-band EQ
– Master compressor with sidechain

Hi-fi audio
The device runs on a dual-core main CPU, with auxiliary processors handling peripherals and analog control. The architecture is designed to deliver fast response, high stability, and enough processing headroom for complex sequencing, synthesis, and effects running simultaneously.
– 32-bit floating point at 96kHz internal processing
– 24-bit/96 kHz DAC for output
– 24-bit/96 kHz ADC for input
– 32 GB of internal storage
